More signs of the season.

Two things I did today to herald in Fall: threw out three pairs of the girls' grungy flip flops and put an electric blanket on our bed.

(Which leads me to this unrelated question I thought of while I was putting the blanket on... on a scale of one to ten- one being "Very!!" and ten being "Not at All!"- how White Trash is an electric blanket?
Food for thought.
Please comment.
I will post my analysis soon.)

Not white trash at all! I have used one for 352 years and never associated it with being white trash! NOW-using a motorized cart in Walmart on a Sat morning-THAT is white trash! Only my opinion but it IS right! HA HA! Love, Mommy

Of course your Mother's opinion is correct. I would never disagree with her on anything (except whatever obvious personality defect she has that causes her to laugh at all of Tom's jokes).
As for my response to your question, my family never had an electric blanket because I don't think we could afford one. White trash folk tend to only be able to buy the kinds of blankets that don't plug into the wall. In addition, we only had a hot water bottle for aches and pains. It wasn't until I grew up and got rich that I was able to buy an electric heating pad. Signed, an expert on WT.(Angel)

I think it's only considered white trash if you have your electric blanket hooked up as a primary source of heat in your double wide, and also leave the oven open and turned on as the secondary heating source... (true story from one of my home health patients here down in good ole' South Cackilacky)
