Dan's Bike Ride for Cystic Fibrosis.

Dear Family and Friends,

Hope this finds you all well.  Our dear 7-year-old friend Erin has cystic fibrosis (CF).   Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. A defective gene causes the body to produce abnormally thick, sticky mucus. The abnormal mucus leads to chronic and life-threatening lung infections and impairs digestion.  Luckily, with great medical care and careful monitoring, Erin is leading a full and happy life.

Dan is joining up with Erin’s dad Tom and others on Team E to bike 32 miles in the 3rd Annual Aptails CF Cycle for Life in Cambridge, NY.

We are asking you to help make a difference by simply making a donation of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can afford for the Aptails CF Cycle for Life on August 25, 2013.

If you are interested, please make a check payable to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and mail to Dan Libutti, 47 Dowers Way, Delmar, NY 12054, or if you would like to use a credit card, just go to my home page at:
and click on the donate button.

Every penny counts, so please do not feel like you have to make a great contribution. Thank you in advance for being part of this very important cause. Together, we can add tomorrows every day to the lives of those with CF.

We promise you that your donation will not go to waste. When you make a donation to the CF Foundation, you are helping to ensure that children with CF will live longer and more productive lives.  Perhaps the best evidence that many people with cystic fibrosis are living longer is the fact that more than 45 percent of the CF patient population is now 18 or older.  Recently developed therapies and specialized care have enabled people with CF to gain greater control over their disease.  So, children and adults are not only living longer, but also living with a better quality of life.

We are confident that, with your help, there will be a cure soon.

Trying to make CF stand for “Cure Found,”

Dan and Cheryl
